November 6, 2020 -It may surprise some of you that coding software is an artform in and of itself. Much like coloring, drawing, painting, woodworking, or sculpting…coding is all about creating. Creating something new, creating something better…or even sometimes finding beauty in creating something mundane, but useful.

Without further ado, check out what’s changed in the most recent update, this sprint was a doozy. We’re incredibly excited to be releasing our app to a broader audience and we can’t wait to hear your feedback!

We’ve made over 23 important updates since our last release!

NOTE: There are several backend updates not included below that are integral to the future improvement of the app!

FEATURED UPDATES

• GENERAL

  • Renamed My Works section to My Collabs; laying groundwork for future improvements in this section

  • Huge stability updates!

  • Updated in-game animations to better indicate user’s options upon completion of a Collab

    • The Done button is greyed out until user interacts with, or colors cells in gameplay

    • The done button appears green after user completes significant number of actions; indicating that a Collab that can be shared

  • Added spray can tool!!

  • Removed ‘News’ section from home page and began development of new navigation tab dedicated to News (not yet visible to users)

• TUTORIAL

  • Updated tutorial to load after first drawing is selected within the app

    • This tutorial outlines very basic functions to help you get up to speed quickly!

ARTIST PROFILES!

• Fixed bug that caused art feed to snap from end to beginning. Art feed now starts at beginning and scrolls properly through art

• Fixed bug that caused some thumbnail tiles to appear white, rather than load the art immediately within artist profile pages

GENERAL

• Fixed bug that caused thumbnail tiles to appear white, rather than load the art immediately within homepage

• Reduced replay length to 7 seconds

• Updated user interface to highlight early access pricing

• Fixed bug that interrupted coloring actions while toolbar was collapsed

IN-APP EVENTS & COMPETITIVE MODE

• Enlarged events banner for improved findability

• When Done button is selected, user is prompted with a competition warning, notifying them that they will not be able to submit another Collab during same competition

• Added infrastructure to change image assets for each competition

• Built system to define each new phase of a competition within the app [competition banner color change corresponds with each phase of competition]

• Modified competition results response on the backend

• Built backend dashboard or future events improvements

  • Events can now be managed via simple dashboard
